For contractors who win federal jobs
You Didn't Start a Construction Company to Fight Paperwork
Every Friday, you're chasing timesheets, double-checking wage determinations, and praying your WH-347 doesn't have the one mistake that triggers a DOL audit. BaconAI does that part for you — so you can go back to building.
Free for first month. No credit card required.
You Already Know How This Story Goes
A plumbing contractor in Ohio — 22 employees, good crew, solid reputation — wins a $1.4M federally funded school renovation. His biggest job yet.
His office manager handles the WH-347s every week. She's careful. But on week 11, she classifies two pipe fitters as plumbers. Same crew, similar work, easy mistake. The fringe benefit rate is off by $4.80 an hour.
DOL shows up eight months later. By then it's not one form — it's 11 weeks of underpayments across two classifications. Back wages, penalties, and a compliance review that takes his team off a new bid for three months.
One wrong classification on one form.
That's the distance between your best year and your worst year. Not because you can't do the work — but because federal compliance doesn't grade on effort. It grades on the form.
You already know this. You've seen it happen to someone. Maybe it's happened to you. The problem isn't that you don't care about compliance — it's that you're running a construction company and a compliance department at the same time, with the same two people.
It's Friday at 4 PM. Here's What Happens.
Instead of scrambling through spreadsheets and wage determination PDFs, you do this:
Punch In Your Crew
Your workers, their hours, their classifications — enter it once or pull it from a CSV. Same info you already track. Five minutes, tops.
We Check It Against the Wage Determination
BaconAI cross-references every line against the actual prevailing wage rates for your project. Wrong classification? Fringe calculation off? You see it before the DOL does.
Submit a Clean WH-347
Download a print-ready certified payroll with the Statement of Compliance. Exactly the way DOL wants to see it. Sign it, submit it, move on with your week.
That's it. Your crew gets paid right. Your forms are clean. You're home by 5.
Built for the Way You Actually Work
You don't need another generic SaaS tool. You need something that knows what a wage determination is and why your fringe calculation matters.
Clean WH-347s, Every Week
Generates the exact form DOL expects — correct format, correct fields, current 2026 version. Print it, sign it, submit it. Done.
Catches Errors Before DOL Does
Misclassified a journeyman as a helper? Fringe rate doesn't match the wage determination? You'll know before you sign the Statement of Compliance — not 8 months later.
Wage Determinations Built In
No more digging through SAM.gov for the right general decision. Enter your project location and BaconAI pulls the prevailing rates for every classification.
Your Crew, Saved
Add your guys once. Their names, SSNs, classifications carry over project to project, week to week. Stop re-entering the same 15 people every Friday.
Audit-Ready for 3 Years
DOL requires you to keep records for 3 years. Every form, every payroll period, stored and searchable. When an auditor asks, you pull it up in seconds — not from a filing cabinet.
Fringe Math, Handled
Cash paid vs. bona fide fringe benefit plans — the calculation that trips up everyone. BaconAI splits it correctly so your total compensation matches the wage determination.
Less Than What You Pay a Bookkeeper for One Day
A compliance mistake costs six figures. A part-time bookkeeper who knows prevailing wage runs $2,000+/month. This is $299.

Questions You're Probably Asking
It's the WH-347 form that the feds require every single week on Davis-Bacon projects. You're certifying that you paid your workers the correct prevailing wages and fringe benefits. You sign a Statement of Compliance that basically says "I'm telling the truth and I know I can go to jail if I'm not." That's why getting it right matters.
Yes — they're two different things. QuickBooks (or ADP, Gusto, whatever you use) handles actually paying your workers. BaconAI handles the certified payroll REPORT that the government requires on prevailing wage jobs. QuickBooks doesn't generate WH-347s, doesn't check your classifications against wage determinations, and doesn't know what a fringe benefit split is. BaconAI does.
She's probably doing a great job. But Excel doesn't cross-check classifications against the wage determination. It doesn't flag when your fringe calculation is off. It doesn't know the DOL updated the form. One missed error repeats every week until someone catches it — and that someone is usually a DOL investigator, not your office manager. BaconAI is the second set of eyes she doesn't have time to be.
If you're working on a Davis-Bacon project, you submit certified payroll — prime or sub, doesn't matter. The prime contractor is responsible for making sure you do it, but the liability is yours. Your forms, your signature, your compliance.
Right now, BaconAI handles your certified payroll. As a prime, you're responsible for collecting your subs' WH-347s too — we know that's a headache. Sub tracking and aggregation is coming in a future update.
We're handling SSNs and payroll data — we take that seriously. Everything is encrypted at rest and in transit. Your data is never shared with anyone. SOC 2 compliance is in progress. This is the kind of data that should never be in an email attachment or a shared Google Sheet, which is probably where it is right now.
Right now, BaconAI covers federal Davis-Bacon requirements. A lot of states have their own "Little Davis-Bacon" laws — California, New York, Massachusetts, and others. We're building state support next. If you're doing state prevailing wage work, get on the waitlist and we'll let you know when your state is live.
You're a Builder. Not a Bookkeeper.
Every hour you spend wrestling with WH-347s is an hour you're not on a job site, not closing a bid, not running your company. Get that time back.
